Rumor: BOE to Build 8.5G Panel Line in Chongqing

Wen Jianping, deputy GM of Beijing-based TV market research firm A-View Consulting, revealed on October 9 that Chinese TFT-LCD manufacturer BOE (000725.SZ; 200725.SZ) is in talks with the municipal government of Chongqing about investing RMB 28 bln to construct its third 8.5G LCD panel production line in the municipality's Shuitu Technology Industrial Development Zone. When contacted, BOE VP Zhang Yu said he was unable to comment at the present time.
