Meilishuo Seeks Fourth-Round Funding

Meilishuo CEO Xu Yirong has confirmed the Chinese online fashion community is seeking a fourth round of funding and that its mobile client has more than 10 mln users as of September 3.

Bai Ya, founder of social fashion site "Guang," revealed in a recent microblog post that he had "received information from non-official sources regarding Tencent's (0700.HK) acquisition of Meilishuo. All I know is that Tencent (0700.HK) CEO Pony Ma has already agreed to the deal, but I don't know if they've signed the agreement yet or not." Responding to this, Xu said that "Tencent is a close partner, but reports of an acquisition or an investment are purely rumor."
