ChinaCache Q2 2012 Profit Exceeds RMB 4 Mln

Chinese content delivery network (CDN) service provider ChinaCache (Nasdaq: CCIH) today announced its unaudited financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2012. Net revenues in Q2 2012 were RMB 197.5 mln (USD 31.1 mln), up 8.6% QoQ and up 36.3% YoY.
Net income for Q2 2012 was RMB 4.3 mln (USD 0.7 mln), up 72.0% QoQ from RMB 2.5 mln in Q1 2012 and compared to a net loss of RMB 5.7 mln in Q2 2011.
Revenue breakdown by industry vertical during Q2 2012 was: Internet & Software (20%), Mobile Internet (18%), Media and Entertainment (30%), Enterprises & E-commerce (28%), and Government Agencies (4%).
Revenue contributed by the company's top 5 customers as a percentage of net revenues was 29%, down 4 percentage points from 33% in Q2 2011.
Number of active customers at the end of Q2 2012 was 1,013, up 64.2% from 617 at the end of Q2 2011.
Total number of employees at the end of Q1 2012 was 751, up 69.9% from 442 at the end of Q1 2011.
ChinaCache currently expects to generate total net revenues in the range of RMB 215 mln (USD 34.1 mln) to RMB 220 mln (USD 34.9 mln) for the third quarter of 2012, representing an increase of 8.8% to 11.4% from the second quarter of 2012, and an increase of approximately 34.0% to 37.1% YoY.
