Mangocity Invests RMB 80 Mln in Second-Round Promotion

Gao Ge, GM of Chinese online travel services provider Mangocity, announced recently that beginning August 1, Mangocity will invest a further RMB 80 mln in a second round of promotional campaigns.
After July's price war, Gao said, Mangocity now sees more than 10,000 hotel bookings per day, a YoY increase of 260%.
The RMB 80 mln for the second round of promotions will be used for cash-back subsidies on hotel reservations, Gao announced. The number of half-price hotel deals will be expanded from 800 to 1,500 per day, while the number of hotels offering a 30% discount will be increased from 1,800 to 3,000, and the number of "zero-profit" hotels will increase from 8,000 to 10,000.
