Tencent Officially Launches Social Marketing Platform

Shenzhen-based internet company Tencent (0700.HK) officially launched its social marketing platform (snswin.qq.com) in early July.

A Tencent representative said the platform will gradually provide social marketing services for QZone, Tencent Microblog, Pengyou.com, Tencent.com, and Tencent Video.

By means of social media platforms, tools, and third-party API marketing resources, advertisers using the platform will not only be able to promote customized brand marketing spaces, topics, and interactive activities; they will also be able to create their own cross-platform social media advertising campaigns based on Tencent data on user activities and interaction and accurate analysis of ongoing trends, and optimize their campaign tactics in real-time using backend data analytics, opinion tracking, and CRM tools.

For example, advertisers will be able to customize their own space on Tencent Microblog and act as administrator on all marketing activities, embed mini-sites, apps, and other content, while using the backend to collect user feedback, conduct real-time opinion tracking, analyze user attributes, issue public statements, and track industry microblogging data. The platform will also gradually introduce social marketing services via other channels, such as digital devices, wireless, and other third-party partners.

Advertising circulated on Tencent's instant messaging, video, Tencent.com, and microblogging platforms will incorporate social elements such as "Follow" and "Like" buttons.
