China Telecom Animation User Base Reaches 13 Mln

China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) revealed at the recent 8th China International Cartoon & Animation Festival (CICAF) in Hangzhou that registered users of its animation products (including both mobile and PC client users) has reached 13 mln, with nearly 30% subscribing to paid services. In terms of content, China Telecom's animation site "Ai Dongman" ("Love Cartoons") (dm.189.cn) now offers nearly 40,000 commercial series from almost 300 content partners with over 40 specialized partner content channels. The site acts as a cloud platform, aggregating animation content and providing an open platform for content providers, who can upload content and collect a revenue share on user fees. China Telecom's animation cloud operations base is located in Xiamen.
