Chinese software firm Anhui USTC iFlytek (002230.SZ) has announced that it will unveil its XFS5051CE next-generation voice synthesizer chip on May 31 in Shenzhen.
The chip can convert text into clear speech, allowing computers to replace humans for information announcements, appropriate for environments that require a significant volume of audio announcements, such as those in banks queue announcement systems and vehicle navigation systems.
USTC iFlytek has been expanding its partnerships with major companies, including a strategic cooperation agreement with China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH), which will use iFlytek voice technology in its various businesses, and Chinese television and consumer electronics manufacturer Konka (200016.SZ, 000016.SZ), which will integrate iFlytek's voice recognition, control, search, and input technology into its smart TV sets.
