SARFT to Establish RMB 30 Mln Screenplay Fund

China's State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) announced recently that it would put forward RMB 30 mln per year to establish a script incentive fund offering RMB 1 mln to 3 mln for outstanding screenplays. SARFT will also select around 100 screenwriters and directors each year for the next five years to receive systematic training, and will actively promote the expansion of Chinese film into international markets.
