TMall, Taobao.com to Use Separate Paid Search Rankings
Ebrun.com, 2/01/2012
Zhitongche, the paid search ranking service developed by Hangzhou-based C2C & B2C e-commerce site Taobao, was officially spun off from B2C site TMall today. TMall will use an independent Zhitongche platform, rather than sharing a single Zhitongche system with Taobao's B2C and C2C listings site, Taobao.com.
Taobao has reportedly drafted new terms of use for TMall Zhitongche software services. As of February 1, when the separation of the service takes effect, TMall merchants will be shown a TMall Zhitongche logo and text notice after logging in. Terms of use for the two Zhitongche systems will remain identical for the time being, and TMall will not make any major changes to volume support and paid search rankings through the system.
