State Council Announces Second Batch of Convergence Trial Cities

China's State Council today announced the second batch of national network convergence trial cities, totaling 42 cities. The cities are as follows:
Municipalities: Tianjin, Chongqing.
State plan designated cities: Ningbo (Zhejiang).
Provincial capitals: Shijiazhuang (Hebei), Taiyuan (Shanxi), Hohhot (Inner Mongolia), Shenyang (Liaoning), Changchun (Jilin), Hefei (Anhui), Fuzhou (Fujian), Nanchang (Jiangxi), Jinan (Shandong), Zhengzhou (Henan), Guangzhou (Guangdong), Nanning (Guangxi), Haikou (Hainan), Chengdu (Sichuan), Guiyang (Guizhou), Kunming (Yunnan), Lhasa (Tibet), Xi'an (Shaanxi), Lanzhou (Gansu), Xining (Qinghai), Yinchuan (Ningxia), and Urumqi (Xinjiang).
Other cities: Yangzhou, Taizhou, Nantong, Zhenjiang, Changzhou, Wuxi, and Suzhou (Jiangsu); Xiaogan, Huanggang, Ezhou, Huangshi, Xianning, Xiantao, Tianmen, and Qianjiang (Hubei); Foshan and Yunfu (Guangdong).
Editor's Note: The first batch of 12 trial cities included Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen (Guangdong), Dalian (Liaoning), Xiamen (Fujian), Nanjing (Jiangsu), Harbin (Heilongjiang), Hangzhou (Zhejiang), Qingdao (Shandong), Mianyang (Sichuan), Wuhan (Hubei), and the "Chang-Zhu-Tan" city cluster, consisting of Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan (Hunan).
