Zhongshan City to Offer Wi-Fi-enabled STB

Cable TV operator Guangdong Broadcast & TV Network's Zhongshan City branch has announced that in 2012 all Zhongshan set-top boxes will add new features, including Wi-Fi capability with indoor coverage of up to 50 meters. In addition to HDTV services and bi-directional interactive features, the set-top boxes will also feature the ability to add 3D gaming device components, and a CPU processing speed that is four times the speed of current set-top boxes.
