Chinese Government Opens New Rural Appliance Program Tender

China's Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) recently announced a new procurement round for China's "Appliances to the Countryside" subsidy program. The tender covers 12 different categories of home appliances. The Ministry of Finance will provide participating manufacturers a direct subsidy of 13% based on the retail price of each item sold.
