The new feature will be automatically offered to internet TV users in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, Chengdu, Xi'an, Wuxi, Ningbo and Suzhou, who will have the choice of adding the discount download option to their service menu or continuing with their existing subscription plan.
The service will also be available to Sharp China internet TV subscribers along with several other new services offered by BesTV. BesTV said that it also plans to soon reach out to owners of internet TV-capable TV sets from such major brands as Samsung, Skyworth Digital Holdings (0751.HK), Hisense (600060.SH), Konka (200016.SZ, 000016.SZ) and Haier.

The service will be aimed at enabling residential users to make a variety of payments via TV, including utility bills, credit card payments, mobile phone credit recharging, and TV shopping.
