3G.cn Merges Mobile SNS with Sina Microblog

Chinese internet company Sina (Nasdaq: SINA) today announced that Sina Weibo microblogging platform will be merged with Chinese mobile internet portal 3G.cn's SNS product Bula.cn to create the co-operated "3G.cn Sina Microblog." The two companies will cooperate on news, microblogging, social networking, mobile search and mobile application products.

The integration will provide 3G.cn users with convenient access to Weibo, allowing users not only to follow celebrities on Weibo but also to share 3g.cn content on the microblogging platform. Users will also be able to use 3g.cn's mobile search engine to search for people and topics on Weibo, as well as to search Sina's other mobile properties.

Editor's Note: Bula.cn is 3G.cn's mobile mini-blogging platform, which allows users to share text and images via their mobile phone.
