Rumor: China Unicom Tests FD-LTE in Xi'an, Shanghai

China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) recently launched FD-LTE technology tests in Xi'an and Shanghai, according to an industry source. Products from Andrew Solutions, a subsidiary of US-based telecom equipment provider CommScope, are reportedly among those being tested.
When contacted by telephone, Unicom general affairs department GM Zhao Zhongxin said he had not heard anything about the trials.
