Rumor: Kaixin001 Releases Group SNS Site

Chinese SNS Kaixin001 has reportedly launched its online community site Haibei.com. The site is interlinked with Kaixin001, but users must obtain an invitation code to join. Haibei allows users to create their own interest groups, each with its own group chat, posting, photo sharing, and online storage, and the ability to invite and approve new members. Haibei gives each group unlimited online storage space.

The terms of service state the platform is operated by a Tianjin-based company named "Lequn," but the site is clearly labeled as a Kaixin001 website in the lower left corner of its webpages. The site can be accessed via Haibei.com or p.g.kx001.com.cn.

Kaixin001 has yet to respond to requests for comment.
