SK Telecom, China Mobile Partner on Mobile Games, M2M

SK Telecom has announced that it will establish a cooperative relationship with China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) in mobile games and M2M.
SK Telecom signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Jiangsu Mobile in Nanjing on April 8 to jointly develop mobile gaming and M2M content and platforms. Jiangsu Mobile is responsible for China Mobile's mobile gaming business.
SK Telecom and Jiangsu Mobile have agreed to exchange mobile gaming content and upgrade games-related platforms to enable the purchase of virtual items.
SK Telecom will provide Chinese versions of Android-based games from its T Store app store after customizing them to meet Chinese customers' needs. Moreover, SK Telecom plans to provide games-related content to China Mobile through its China-based mobile internet subsidiary Viatech.
In the M2M sector, SK Telecom plans to provide diverse M2M technology-based sensing networks as well as U-GW (Universal Gateway) equipment, which connects broadband and mobile telecommunications networks, to Jiangsu Mobile. Pans for SK Telecom to offer more advanced services based on these networks are also underway.
