Hanvon to Drop Tablet Price to Compete with iPad
CCID, 3/10/11
Wang Bangjiang, GM of Chinese e-reader and handwriting input peripherals manufacturer Hanvon (002362.SZ), recently revealed that as a consequence of the drop in the price of Apple's iPad following the release of iPad 2, Hanvon would have to lower the price of its upcoming tablet, the HPad.
According to widespread reports from e-reader sellers, following the iPad's price reduction, other high-end e-readers priced at RMB 2,000 or higher have experienced a sharp drop in sales.
