GAPP: China's 2010 Online Game Revenue Up 26%

China's General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP) and IDG issued a joint report on China's online gaming industry for 2010 today, valuing the country's gaming industry at a total RMB 32.37 bln, up 26% YoY - the slowest annual growth since GAPP first began developing reports on China's online gaming industry in 2003.

The report cites revenues of RMB 19.3 bln for domestically-produced online games in 2010, accounting for 65% of total market revenues - up from RMB 15.63 in 2009. 82 games from 34 Chinese companies entered overseas markets last year, bringing in revenues of USD 230 mln - more than twice 2009's USD 109 mln.
