China Telecom: MegaEyes Revenue Exceeds RMB 2 Bln

At the 2010 MegaEyes Summit and First Annual Partners Conference, China Telecom's (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) government and corporate client department general engineer Wan Jun said that revenue from MegaEyes networked video surveillance products so far this year has surpassed RMB 2 bln. The service, launched in 2003, brought in RMB 1.5 bln in revenue last year. The service is available from 31 provincial branches, and will begin to focus on offering video surveillance for SME customers as well as in-vehicle products.
