China Unicom Announces September 2010 Subscriber Totals

China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) has announced that during the month of September it added over 0.80 mln new GSM subscribers, bringing its total GSM user base to approximately 151.51 mln, and added over 1.04 mln subscribers to its WCDMA 3G network, for a total of approximately 10.55 mln WCDMA users.
China Unicom lost 0.41 mln fixed-line subscribers, dropping its total to approximately 99.70 mln, but added almost 0.62 mln new broadband access subscribers to reach approximately 45.98 mln.
