Coo8 Obtains First-Round Funding

Peng Liang, head of marketing at Kuba Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., which operates online B2C consumer electronics site Coo8.com (formerly 51mdq.com), has confirmed that Kuba Technology has completed its first round of funding and will soon announce details on the amount and participating investors.
Peng divulged that the recent name change was closely connected to the new round of funding.
Peng added that the name change was precipitated by Kuba Technology's plans to expand its product offerings, and the website will soon begin carrying more categories of consumer electronic products so as to sooner achieve profitability. Peng could not say whether Coo8 plans to expand to other product categories in the future.
Kuba Technology will continue to provide after-sales service for products sold under the 51mdq.com brand name.
