GAPP to Build 8-10 Digital Content Aggregation Platforms

Sun Shoushan, vice-director of China's General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP), announced at yesterday's launch of China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) E-Surfing mobile literature platform that GAPP plans to build 8-12 digital content aggregation platforms nationwide. To encourage digitization by the traditional publishing industry, the platform will collect content resources, release authoritative information and provide copyright transaction services. China Telecom hopes its mobile literature platform can participate in the program.
