China Mobile: Cumulative TD-SCDMA Terminal Sales Hit 17 Mln

At a recent press conference regarding TD-SCDMA and CMMB mobile TV recently held by Chinese telecom equipment manufacturer ZTE (0763.HK; 000063.SZ), Geng Xuefeng, deputy GM of China Mobile's (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) terminal division, said that 17 mln TD-SCDMA terminals have been sold to date, and over 478 TD-SCDMA handset models are on the market.
So far this year, China Mobile has already recorded sales of 13.64 mln TD-SCDMA terminals, 3 mln of which were ZTE terminals.
