China Mobile Certifies Siano MBBMS Solution

Siano PR, 8/11/10

Israeli mobile DTV chipmaker Siano Mobile Silicon today announced that its recently launched software protocol stack for China Mobile's (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) Mobile Broadcasting Business Management System (MBBMS), has successfully passed China Mobile Research Institute (CMRI) tests and is now fully certified.

The new product certification was done with tight collaboration with Chinese 3G handset developer Brighter that specializes in design and manufacture of advanced TD-SCDMA terminals.

Following the successful collaboration with Brighter, Siano's MBBMS stack is now available for the most common mobile operating systems: Linux, Android, and Windows Mobile. Versions for other operating systems are available upon demand, with only minimal engineering efforts required. Siano's MBBMS stack can be easily ported to any real time operating system. A few TD-SCDMA platform providers have already started using the stack on their platforms.
