ZTE Agrees to Follow Indian Security Regulations

Chinese telecom equipment manufacturer ZTE (0763.HK; 000063.SZ) has accepted India's new security requirement regarding the importation of telecommunications equipment, according to a source at Indian telecom operator Tata Teleservices. Tata has informed the Indian Ministry of Telecommunications and is awaiting a response.

According to overseas media reports, Tata also plans to import equipment from Huawei. Huawei has yet to comment or announce a decision regarding India's security rules.
