Oriental Morning Post, 7/29/10

The Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film and Television convened a meeting of local gaming companies yesterday to announce the new "Notification of Regulations Concerning Implementation of the 'Interim Regulations for Online Game Management,'" at which it emphasized that real-name registration systems for gamers must not provide any "express channels" for registration without identification numbers. The authorities also called on gaming enterprises to report the amount of virtual currency circulated in each quarter to regulatory authorities, and to monitor and prevent any instances of malicious circulation of virtual currency.
