Ku6 Announces Profitability from World Cup

Senior VP Hao Zhizhong of Ku6, Shanda Interactive's (Nasdaq: SNDA) online video site, has announced that the World Cup propelled the site into profitability.

Data from CR-Nielsen shows that during the World Cup, Ku6 saw peak daily pageviews of 399 mln, with 52.63 unique visitors. According to research from the Data Center of the China Internet (DCCI), traffic from Ku6's World Cup coverage took 46.13% of all traffic from online video coverage of the games.
