The9 Reports 2009 Net Loss of RMB 405 Mln

Chinese online game developer and operator The9 (Nasdaq: NCTY) has filed its annual report on Form 20-F for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2009 with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, with net revenues falling 55.6% to RMB 760.52 mln (USD 111.42 mln).
Net loss for the year was RMB 405.15 mln (USD 59.36 mln), compared to net income of RMB 96.84 mln in 2008.
The9's agreement with US-based game developer Blizzard Entertainment to operate World of Warcraft in Mainland China, which expired on June 7, 2009, accounted for 88% of total revenues in 2009.
