Far EasTone to Offer WVAS on China Mobile Platform

According to Taiwanese media reports, Taiwanese telecommunications operator Far EasTone Telecommunications vice chairman and general manager Jan Erik Nilsson has said that the company will offer its Smartapp app marketplace and e-book services in China via China Mobile's (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) value-added services platform. On April 7, Far EasTone and China Mobile will hold a meeting to discuss Smartapp research and development. Far EasTone's open Smartapp platform was released on October 15, 2009, and has already had 130,000 app downloads, of which 65% were downloaded by non-Far EasTone customers.
