Nokia's First TD-SCDMA Handset Reaches Retailers

On March 19, the Nokia 6788 handset, Nokia's first and only TD-SCDMA phone, went on sale at mobile phone retailer Zoomflight for RMB 3,988. China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) is offering purchasers of the handset a RMB 300 subsidy in calling credit.
The handset was previously available only in limited quantities through China Mobile service halls with an up-front purchase of calling credit.
