Ericsson and the Chinese State Administration of Radio Film and Television's (SARFT) Academy of Broadcasting Planning have signed a memorandum calling for a strategic partnership on research into next-generation broadcast (NGB) network-based services and technologies. Ericsson and the ABP have already launched their first project, with Ericsson providing its digital Connected Home solution for new ABP NGB services.
The Connected Home solution offers interactivity, media resource sharing, and multiple screen-switching between media terminals (televisions, computers, set-top boxes, or portable media players) in different rooms of a house or in different houses.
