During the 2009 China Game Industry Annual Conference (CGIAC) in Dalian, Sun Jingqing, GM of CDC Corporation's (Nasdaq: CHINA) online gaming subsidiary, CDC Games, revealed in an interview that CDC Games plans to IPO in 2010 just as CDC Software (Nasdaq: CDCS) did last year. Sun said CDC Games plans to focus on releasing 4-6 domestically-produced games this year, at least one each quarter. Three games have already been selected: a 2D turn-based game, a 3D fixed perspective MMORPG and a semi-casual action game.
Sun added that there are major plans for licensed 3D fantasy MMORPG Lord of the Rings Online, both in terms of marketing and content, but Sun refused to elaborate.
