China Mobile: TD-SCDMA Subscribers Break 5 Mln

China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) has reported that as of December 31, the total number of TD-SCDMA subscribers nationwide had surpassed 5 mln. 266 TD-SCDMA terminal models have been released, including 80 handsets, 65 data cards, 58 netbooks, 25 residential gateways, 34 wireless wireline telephones, and 4 e-readers.
China Mobile added that its Mobile Market app store has reached 960,000 registered users, and has seen 2.02 mln downloads, with 1,600 businesses and 29,000 developers signed onto the platform.
