Sohu Sued By Online Video Firms as Youku Trial Begins

Beijing's Haidian District People's Court began hearing Chinese online video-on-demand provider Voole's IPR infringement lawsuit against online video-sharing platform Youku on November 17. On the same day, five video content companies sued China Internet Video Anti-Piracy Alliance founder Sohu (Nasdaq: SOHU) on undisclosed grounds. Among the plaintiffs are state movie channel CCTV-6, Beijing-based online video provider Netmovie and P2P online video service platform Xunlei.
