China Unicom conducted the survey in three stages between August 31 and September 18 in 55 major and 22 secondary cities nationwide.

The survey included both road tests and call tests, and checked the quality of voice calls, video calls, HSPA, and other services.

30 cities - 18 major cities and 12 secondary cities - meet China Unicom's ideal standards. 19 cities have good WCMDA network quality, 17 have average quality, and the remaining 11 have poor quality.

Of the 18 major cities that reached ideal standards, provincial capitals and independently planned cities included Jinan, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Ningbo, Xi'an, Dalian, Guangzhou, Lhasa, and Haining. Major provincial cities included Jinhua, Tangshan, and Quanzhou.
