CR-Nielsen: China's July Internet Advertising Up 36% YoY

CR-Nielsen, Nielsen's Chinese joint venture, has released its report on online advertising campaigns in China for the month of July, showing a net market value of RMB 1.53 bln for the month, an increase of 36.6% year-over-year, but down 6.4% from the previous month.
The top 3 online advertising industries by market share were entertainment (18.1%), automobile (16%) and fashion (10.2%). While money spent on advertising for retail, entertainment, personals and recruitment was higher than June, advertisement value for all other industries dropped from the previous month, with fashion, computers and electronics, and real estate experiencing the greatest drop in advertisement expenditures (respectively down 36.6%, 13.7% and 11.9% from June).
