China Exports 230 Mln Handsets in H1 2009

According to the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, the country exported 230 mln handsets in the first half of 2009 worth USD 16.08 bln, dropping 7.2% and 7.7% YoY, respectively. The average price per unit exported was USD 69.9, decreasing 0.5% YoY.
Foreign-invested firms accounted for 88% of total domestic handset exports, domestic private firms for 8.7%, and domestic state-owned enterprises for the remaining 3.3%:
