56.com Launches Pay-Per-View Platform

Chinese video-sharing site 56.com announced the official launch of its paid platform "56 Kankan" (http://kankan.56.com) today, allowing video-bloggers, user-generated content (UGC) creators, and content providers to publish and charge for pay-per-view videos at costs to be determined by themselves. Content providers will receive 90% of revenues; 56.com will take a 10% commission.
56.com is adopting a C2C model allowing sellers to set their own prices and provide partial previews free of charge to potential buyers.
