Ctrip Q2 2009 Net Profit Up 33%

Chinese online travel firm Ctrip (Nasdaq: CTRP) has recorded its unaudited financial results for Q2 2009, with net revenues reaching RMB 476 mln, up 27% year-on-year and 19% quarter-on-quarter.
Net income for the quarter came to RMB 159 mln, up 33% YoY and 31% from the previous quarter.
Hotel reservation revenues amounted to RMB 227 mln for the quarter, up 16% YoY and 21% QoQ, primarily driven by increases in hotel room reservation volume and partially offset by a decrease in commission per room. Air-ticketing revenues were RMB 222 mln, up 32% YoY and 20% QoQ. Packaged-tour revenues were RMB 36 mln, up 51% YoY and down 5% QoQ.
The company estimates Q3 2009 revenues will increase 25% over the Q2 2009 figure.
