The Shanghai Media Group (SMG) announced today that it had signed an agreement, the Global Cooperation Agreement for Shaolin Temple Animations, with China's Shaolin Temple, giving SMG exclusive rights to create martial-arts animation properties centered around the Shaolin Temple.
The first season of the cartoon will air in 2011.
