Industry sources say online game developer and operator The9 (Nasdaq: NCTY) and Kingsoft (3888.HK) have come to an agreement of intent regarding Kingsoft's online game JX 3. Senior management from the two companies met recently in Shanghai, but details of the partnership have yet to be confirmed. Industry speculation is that The9 may be hoping to jointly operate JX 3. Both companies declined to comment on the rumor.
