Mobile Content Provider Lands RMB 3.9 Mln First-round Funding

Chinese mobile media community platform Danqoo.com has obtained first-round funding of RMB 3 mln from Anfeng Venture Capital and an additional RMB 900,000 from Hangzhou municipal government funds.

Danqoo.com is operated by Xunboda Digital Media Technology Co. and provides content services including mobile SNS and MMS, mobile music, mobile blogging, and mobile books. The company's website and WAP portal (3g.danqoo.com) were launched in January 2008, with the company currently employing 150 staff.

Danqoo.com is currently in talks with 8 provincial and municipal operators including in Zhejiang and Hebei regarding 3G cooperations, with the company planning to go public by 2011.
