Rumor: Baidu, Handset Manufacturers Partner on Mobile Search

According to a source with knowledge of the situation, search engine Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) has formed partnerships with Samsung, Lenovo Mobile, and Tianyu, among other handset makers, for joint development of mobile search client software and pre-loading of icons on mobile phones to allow users to more easily search webpages, images, Baidu Post Bar, maps, and Baidu Space.
