TCL Unveils New Blu-Ray and Internet LCD TV Sets

Chinese television and consumer electronics manufacturer TCL has unveiled its P10 LCD television series, divided between 3 main product types including an Internet Blu-Ray series, an all-mode integrated digital TV series, and a natural Blu-Ray series.
The Internet Blu-Ray series can directly download and playback online video, and is able to play essentially any video format. The TVs also come equipped with gaming and Karaoke functionality, with an estimated storage capacity of 500 songs and casual games.
The all-mode integrated digital TV series supports 5 television signal standards including terrestrial broadcast high- and standard definition digital signal, cable high- and standard definition digital signal, and traditional analog signal. The televisions also come equipped with LAN connectivity allowing users to connect their home computer to television sets to play video and audio content.
The natural Blu-Ray series will support video formats as advanced as H.264.
Editor's Note: Pricing for the television sets has not been announced, however as the sets are targeted at the mid- to high-end market, the 42-inch model will be priced at over RMB 10,000.
