360Buy Sets RMB 4 Bln Revenue Target for 2009

Chinese IT product B2C e-commerce platform 360Buy recently announced that its 2008 sales revenue reached RMB 1.32 bln, giving the company a 15.15% market share. Sales revenue for February 2009 reached RMB 200 mln, and this year the company is aiming for total sales revenue of RMB 4.0 bln, followed by RMB 10.0 bln in 2010. 360Buy VP, Xu Lei, stated that the company currently uses three main promotional methods: marketing promotions, online marketing and on-campus marketing. Xu mentioned that campus marketing had a return on investment of 42 to 1, the highest out of all three methods and that student users account for 10% of 360Buy's revenues.
