UFIDA Establishes U9 Business Department

Chinese enterprise software developer UFIDA (600588.SH) announced today that it has established a business division for its U9 software product. Xiang Qihan, vice president of UFIDA, will take on additional responsibilities as general manager of the new division, concentrating efforts on the marketing of U9.
U9 is an enterprise management software platform developed by UFIDA and based entirely on a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) framework. The platform was launched on April 18, 2008 after more than 4 years of research and development.
Localized versions of U9 are available for traditional Chinese characters (used in Hong Kong and Taiwan), English, and Japanese, and the product is currently in use by enterprises such as Guangdong Tayo Motorcycle Technology, and BOE Technology (000725.SZ). UFIDA hopes to extend use of the software to at least 100 enterprises by the end of this year, with a three-year plan to achieve sales of RMB 1 bln.
Editor's Note: UFIDA's director's have also announced the appointment of Xue Feng as company vice president, effective February 19. Xue will serve until a general shareholders meeting in 2010, when a new board of directors is selected. Xue previously served as vice president of the company, but later moved to TurboCRM. In October 2008, UFIDA purchased a portion of TurboCRM's assets, and Xue became general manager of UFIDA's CRM business division.
