CCTV.com to Build R&D Center in Chengdu

CCTV.com, the official website of China's national broadcaster CCTV, will begin work on a new R&D center in Chengdu after the Chinese New Year holiday, which runs from January 25-31. The new Chengdu R&D center will focus mainly on research and development for P2P and other key technologies. In late 2009, the R&D team will grow from 7 to 20, and the scope of its work will expand accordingly, growing to encompass the development of technology platforms for the convergence of Internet and television.
