Rumor: Sohu Puts Sogou under New Manager

According to industry reports, senior director of Sohu's (Nasdaq: SOHU) network operations department, Zhou Lin, has been promoted to vice president, taking over responsibility for the Sogou search engine previously overseen by senior VP Wang Xiaochuan. Wang denied any knowledge of the change, as did employees at a number of Sohu departments.
Wang was promoted to the senior VP post in March 2008, with responsibility for research and development, and Sogou. Zhou Lin's systems operation and maintenance department is Sohu's other major technical unit.
