Group-level Telcos Sign Infrastructure Sharing Agreement

On December 10, China Telecommunications Corporation, China Mobile Communications Corporation (CMCC) and China United Telecommunications Corporation signed a framework agreement on the joint construction and use of telecom infrastructure. Under the agreement, the three operators set out regulations on cooperation mechanisms, joint use procedures, joint construction procedures, principles to determine costs and rights, maintenance requirements on joint construction and joint use, and a dispute settlement mechanism. The three operators will issue the agreement to their provincial subsidiaries within three working days to guide them in the signing of provincial level agreements.
